Qatar's biggest annual sports event
In 2016, for the first time in the history of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, an event management agency was brought on board to manage the event and Golf tournament in order to address growth, increased complexity and continued excellence in the experience for players guests and organizers alike: fischerAppelt.
The Task
Being Qatar's largest annual sports event, the high-profile tournament would feature a series of elements and activities including a Pro-Am tournament, Gala Dinner, side activities and of course the main Golf tournament at the Doha Golf Club, accompanied by entertainment programmes, hospitality areas, family and kids activities, a public village with retail areas, food and drink outlets as well as a concert on the evening before the final tournament day.
From 2016 to 2018, fischerAppelt was responsible for planning and implementing the event.
The Solution
An integrated turnkey approach to delivering the project including side activities, transport and shuttle arrangements, ticketing, players' management in collaboration with the European Tour, coordination with the Doha Golf Club for the tournament management and coordinating the hospitality areas together with the Commercial Bank team.
